Check-in takes place at the Esperia City hotel. The receptionists are polite. Upon arrival, we found out that for some reason we were upgraded, so our room was not in the Pearl hotel, but in the Esperia City hotel. I was happy with the surprise, because we were better off this way, instead of a ground floor room, we got an upstairs room with a view in a better hotel. The room was tidy and clean, we were also satisfied with the daily cleaning. The air conditioning can be used freely, it works well, sometimes a little too strongly. The hotel also has 2 elevators, so access to the rooms is generally ensured without waiting. The breakfast is very plentiful, with hot and cold dishes and sweets. Each time you could choose from at least 4 types of fruit. Breakfast can also be eaten by the pool. The breakfast staff is very nice and cheerful. The location of the hotel is very good, the beach is 5 minutes away and the bus station is 15 minutes away on foot. The neighborhood is well-stocked, with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets to choose from. It happened that in the evening the loud music and the noise of people watching the game could be heard from the bar opposite, but it was not disturbing for me, because when I'm tired I close my eyes and sleep. This may not be ideal for families with small children. I was completely satisfied with everything during my stay at the hotel.

*** Pearl City was still closed for the low season so they transferred my booking to the nearby Esperia City Hotel, part of the same company, so this review is for the Esperia *** Nice hotel for an off-seasons visit to Rhodes especially if you are focused on sight-seeing rather than beach holidays. The hotel is in the middle of the "new" city centre and there are plenty of shops/restaurants nearby, making it a very convenient choice. I had an angle room on the second floor, with two very nice small balconies overlooking the square in front of the hotel and the nearby church. The room itself was of average size but two people with two luggages may find it a bit on the small side. Shower water pressure is very good and there is air conditioning in the room, which I didn't need to use given the very pleasant temperature in early May which I think is the best season for visiting if you're just interested in sight-seeing, hiking or do any kind of non-beach tourism. Staff was helpful and the breakfast was good with both sweet and savoury options. When I'm in Greece all I ask for is Greek yoghurt and honey and that was available, so thumbs up :) Elli beach (both sides) is a couple of minutes away should you desire for a day or more of rest under the sun!

Well... me and my girlfriend were supposed to stay at this hotel, but we were upgraded/transferred to Pearl's sister hotel Esperia City. We were given probably one of the worst rooms, since it was at the very edge of the building and on the first floor. Windows were facing both the entrance and a street. If you get room 104, and you plan to do "certain activities" with your other half, make sure you have the curtains fully closed. :) Otherwise you risk to be seen by _many_ people. Does the hotel deserve a 10? No! Rooms had seen better days and the bathroom was very small. But I am not a pretentious person, and value for money, in my opinion, was great! The bed was very decent and the food too. Personnel were also very polite, so... that's a 10 in my eyes! Kudos to you all, Esperia City guys! :)

Everything, simply fantastic. Staff were lovely, room exactly as described. Very clean, nice small pool, easy access to the the beaches. Present walk to the old town, where the food on the main strip is overpriced. Locally to the hotel is great food and reasonably priced. Mixed age group, only a few children. This is an idea city break hotel, with beaches, we thoroughly enjoyed our walks around the old town, it’s city walls and stopping for food and drink along the way.

Chose this place mainly from price/value considerations and had quite modest expectations, but the hotel turned out to be a nice surprise. Much more appealing and comfortable room than 2 star rating might suggest. Very decent breakfast, also nicely available until sensibly late (11am). Room was really quiet despite all the tavernas below. Good location and at reasonable walking distance to the old town and bus station (20/15 mins).
